NEW YORK STATE OF MIND

A friend asked me after seeing one of my posts about 8TH AVE PILATES if I had moved to NYC. I wrote back … no, ”it’s a state of mind”, I haven’t moved to another state. Like many things, CONTROLOGY (PILATES) started in NYC  and then gradually moved to the rest of the country. JAY GRIMES is one of the people who had actually studied CONTROLOGY with JOSEPH and CLARA PILATES at the original studio on 8th ave in NYC and  later moved to Los Angeles and began teaching Pilates. I am one of the fortunate ones who has studied with Jay privately and also completing his programs THE WORK and TEACHING THE WORK. I want to continue teaching as best I can what I have learned from Jay. It started on 8th Ave. NYC … those are my Pilates roots.
